Happy Birthday Benjamin!

Benjamin turns three.

Our sweet baby boy is officially out of those baby stages and on to bigger and better things. Learning his letters, numbers, able to communicate clearly what he wants...and doesn't want; he has quickly picked up on that little treasure. He is now big enough to do what all of the others are doing(or so he thinks) and is doing his best to keep up.

Since he has been old enough to stand and walk, my walls have never been better decorated; he is very artistic and loves to paint, use markers, chalk or anything else that makes my walls look prettier than before he got to them. Lets just say I am really glad I haven't decided on a wall color to repaint yet.

Benjamin is helpful and loving and always ready for cuddle time. His sweet smile is always charming. He is outgoing, friendly and always ready to make someone smile.

I often get hugs and reassurance that I'm his number one. He runs to me throws his arms around my neck, and says in a deep husky voice, "You're my best Mom", and I tell him he's my best Ben...Then he proceeds to go to each of the other family members saying each in turn, "Your my best Dad", "You're my best Nathan"...He is just so full of love for everyone.

He's got a great spirit and lots of energy to share. He truly makes everyday more fun, entertaining and joyful. He wakes up with a smile, a hug, and lots of love and goes to sleep the same way as he snuggles in between Matt and I and sweetly says good night, I love you.

Happy 3rd Birthday
May you always be sweet, loving, caring, and an adventurous explorer in life. My your life always greet you with new and better adventures with a bright future and plenty of loving, caring family and friends to surround you always.
May God Bless You Always.

Happy Birthday Benjamin

*
January 24th 2013 we welcomed home Benjamin. This week he turned one! We have has such a great time with this little guy over his first year. What a Blessing and a treasure he is, he has such a wonderful personality. He wakes up smiling, goes to sleep smiling and you can often catch him giggling and smiling in his sleep. Ben is a friendly little guy that will go to most people; he's curious, inquisitive and very outspoken. Although he has not "mastered" language like some of our other kids at this age, he has mastered the growl, giggle, high pitched squeal, and newly acquired cute sound, Wookie. He's a great little snuggle bug and loves to cuddle, but also likes to go or an adventure or two exploring through the house to see who he can find, or what he can get into.

Here is a picture review of his first year...Warning...Proud parent overkill for these next photos. I just couldn't resist the cuteness.

Baptisms are Beautiful

Benjamin getting ready for his big day.
What could be better than spending the day with friends and  family in the presence of God. Last Sunday, our newest baby was Baptized into the Catholic Church.
This was the first time we have baptized one of our children in Mississippi. We usually go home to Louisiana in the presence of most of our family and what we have come to call our family priest. Father Gary has been with our family since my parents were married. He has been with us for many, many weddings, funerals, and baptisms, not to mention many many years of being the priest at several churches that we attended including being part of our years in Catholic school. Because of circumstances here and at home in Louisiana, we found ourselves here in Mississippi, and although the atmosphere of this particular baptism -because we were surrounded with a lot less family that is related by blood, we created new bonds with a new extended family - it was very different, but we had a great day; it was a wonderful and beautiful experience. We are so very blessed to have met some wonderful people here who have truly touched our lives, and I know will be a wonderful blessing in Benjamin's life.
Fr. Joe, Parrin, and Nanny
We shared the day with Father Joe, our friends the Richmond's(Godparents), Matt's father(Gramps), and of course our children. Benjamin was dressed in my father's Baptismal Gown. Which has been such a wonderful gift and family treasure that most of my children have been dressed in. Benjamin was wide awake and smiling the whole time, even when he was blessed with holy water. The cold water was a little shocking, but other than being a little surprised, it didn't phase him; he kept on smiling.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Today Evelyn turns one. The first year is always such a blur of excitement, change and growth..She has brought so much love and joy to our family. It has been fun watching her personality grow and change over the last year. It looks like she will be a princess, but is also showing that she will be right in the middle of it all with the boys. She is bright, inquisitive and curious, and is already getting into trouble and messes. She doesn't walk yet, but knows how to climb and although she is a girl of few words, she has no problem making herself understood. It has been a wonderful first year and we can't wait to see what next year brings.

Happy Birthday, Noah!

Noah's First Five Years

Today is my second son's fifth birthday. He is very excited to be five today and has a joy of life that is just so precious to watch. He is precocious, adventurous, curious and it usually leads him to trouble at some part of the day. Noah has a love for everything that is just bigger than the world, but has a roughness that only a little boy can claim...he loves frogs, bugs and mud. He is sweet, beautiful, and angelic...only while he is sleeping. This is a little pictorial history of Noah in his first five years.
